  • 1928 Plymouth

1928 was a turning point for Chrysler, becoming a multi-make producer, challenging the General Motors successful models of price point choices "A Car For Every Purse And Purpose" strategy. Ford would also follow Chrysler a decade later with the introduction of the Mercury division.

The first Plymouth was built on June 11th 1928, and would go head to head with Chevrolet, and Ford. Plymouth would ship 58,000 units with new registrations of 29,490 during the remainder of 1928, earning Plymouth a one-percent market share.
